Torque extends support for DVB-S2X to its DVMon family

Singapore, October 1, 2020Torque Video Systems, the global innovative solutions provider of broadcast monitoring and management systems, disaster recovery playout and transcoding platforms is boosting its line of DVMon monitoring platform for DTV networks, with support for the new transmission standard DVB-S2X.

Danny Wilson, Founder and CEO of Torque Video Systems said, “This latest addition to the DVMon family provides in-depth technical analysis of DVB-S2X modulation quality. Both real time and historical log measurements are supported. Combined with the DVMon comprehensive TS analysis and video content analysis of MPEG-2, H.264 and HEVC streams, the DVMon becomes an imperative, yet cost-effective gear for satellite operators, teleports, content playout centres and DTH operators.”

DVB-S2X represents a dramatic improvement in performance and features, including an efficiency gain of up to 51% compared to its predecessor. The higher bitrates capable with DVB-S2X help enable the wider adoption of Ultra High Definition Television (UHDTV) services.

Onsite trial runs and demos of the Torque DVMon with DVB-S2X support are well under way. Customer feedback reveals that deployment by early adopters will find new opportunities for further expansion, improved cost performance and profitability.
