Torque Video Systems activates its Konnect Media Gateway & supports Live QoS to the Pelican Transcoder

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, September 12, 2025Torque Video Systems, the global expert in advanced solutions for digital television networks and streaming media services, served a combo menu of its Konnect Media Gateway with the Pelican Transcoder and integrated real-time monitoring of all input and output flows for Pelican Live Transcoding.

A single Torque Konnect unit is capable of taking numerous feeds and multiply them to several IP destinations, including UDP, SRT Caller, SRT Listener, while the Pelican provides exceptional cost-performance for both Live-to-Live and File-to-File applications.  It enables hundreds of streams in a compact package and minimal energy consumption.

Danny Wilson, Founder and CEO of Torque Video Systems said, “Konnect was purposefully conceptualized and built to fulfil our customers’ requirements to take a terrestrial or satellite feed and directly forward it to SRT or UDP.  Having identified their need to convert HD terrestrial feeds to lower bitrate before forwarding to SRT, we presented the ideal solution for embedding Konnect with Pelican.”

Wilson added, “Also new for IBC, our LiveMon dashboard monitors interruptions to any input streams, monitors incoming and output bit rates, observes SRT connection status, and verifies the health of the Pelican built-in HLS/MPEG-DASH origin server. Customers have the option of the Pelican Pico Encoder as well as the Dual 4K Encoder, depending on their needs.”

Torque Pelican provides exceptional cost-performance for both Live-to-Live and File-to-File applications.  It enables hundreds of streams in a compact package and minimal energy consumption.  Available in Pico encoder that supports both live streaming via UDP/RTMP/SRT and OTT streaming, as well as Dual 4K that enables simultaneous inputs at multiple resolutions.

On-site demos are available at Torque booth 1B08 throughout IBC, till September 15.
