Pelican Mass Transcoder
The Pelican transcode platform provides mass decode-encode functionality for H.264/AVC and H.265/HEVC, for live IP transcode (UDP/RTP/HTTP) and file-based transcode workflows. A complete appliance, Pelican can lead to immediate cost-performance benefits in a number of user cases.
By deploying Pelican at sporting events, concerts or other live production venues, the high cost of contribution links can be lowered by encoding with high-quality HEVC before sending to the studio.
Furthermore, publishing OTT content needs vast quantities of software-based encoders, as each OTT content must be encoded into multiple bitrates within a “ladder”. Pelican’s unique hardware acceleration for decode and encode enables dramatic cutbacks in the number of servers. With that, of course, is a reduction in the heat generated, the energy used, and much simpler systems management.
Additionally, Pelican’s multi-channel overlay feature facilitates superimposing custom graphics, text or RSS feeds onto live content. This is done in the compressed domain, leading to significant cost savings compared to traditional baseband graphics generators.
The Pelican system also presents an easy-to-use web-based GUI for direct control, along with a straightforward REST API for integration into other control systems.
Pelican Pico Compact Encoder
The Pelican Pico compact encoder provides professional H.264/AVC and H.265/HEVC encoding from SD or HD SDI sources.
The product supports both live streaming via UDP/RTMP/SRT etc. Direct HLS or MPEG-DASH streaming via a built in Low Latency origin server is available as an option.
Flexible and Powerful. Quickly set up any encoding configuration via the builtin HTML GUI. Additionally, integration into any control or orchestration system is a snap with extensive REST API.
Puffin IP Decoder Family
The Puffin Decoder family of compact decoders provide flexible decoding of IP-based video/audio transmission, including UDP, SRT, and HLS. Two models are available: Puffin SDI with a single HD/SD-SDI output and Puffin HDMI.
Puffin is a “smart decoder” equipped with internal storage for playout of uploaded clips. Clip playout can be started from the GUI or automatically in the event of input signal loss.
Puffin SDI is packaged in the same lightweight enclosure as the Pelican Pico Encoder. Dual network interfaces provide maximum flexibility, allowing management and video traffic to be segregated,
Konnect Media Gateway
Konnect is an essential component of today’s complex media flows providing “one-to-many” multicasting of video streams.
While UDP transport can send content to a multicast group within a single network, there is no multicast facility in any protocol, even UDP, over the public internet. Further, operators are increasingly using SRT for transport over the public internet, but, again, SRT does not provide any facility for multicast.
Konnect solves the “one-to-many” problem by transmitting a single content stream to multiple outputs.
Multi-Protocol Support. Konnect provides output streaming to UDP, RTP, RTMP, and SRT. For SRT, both Caller and Listener mode is supported.
The same IP protocols are available on the input. In addition, Konnect can receive content off-air using a builtin receiver for DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2 and/or ATSC.
RF Multicaster. Using the builtin receiver option, multiplexed streams carried over DVB-T/T2, DVB-S/S2 or ATSC can be efficiently forwarded over any public or private IP network.
Encrypted content is also supported. Simply insert your CAM module for seamless decryption of common Conditional Access procotcols.
DVStor Transport Recording & Playout System
DVStor is a self-contained transport stream recording and playout solution. It archives transport stream data complete with all services, SI/PSIP tables and any private metadata. Transport stream data can be recorded in full, or as a selected subset of content. Inputs to the DVStor can be over a Gigabit Ethernet interface or an optional ASI input. DVStor can play out a custom playlist of content recorded off the input or evergreen material uploaded from asset store. Content in the DVStor can be played out over IP or the optional ASI output.
DVStor Compliance Recording
DVStor Compliance Recording Solution is a robust recording and playout engine for MPEG Transport Streams. It records the entire TS without encoding or modifying it. Stored content is fully fit for rebroadcast or repurpose.
DVStor Disaster Recovery
The versatility of the DVStor also makes it a perfect solution for disaster recovery playout, digital time shift, as well as remote clip extraction. Highly scalable, DVStor can support thousands of channels for months. Air-gapping DVStor at the transmitter provides multi-day reliable disaster recovery playout in the event of ransomware incidents. DVStor assures that broadcast stations remain on-air despite disruptions to the entire operations, and keep ad revenue flowing in.
DVMon
The DVMon is an economical monitoring platform for digital television networks. Built on the latest compact 1RU hardware, the DVMon raises the bar in user experience through its distinct, flexible HTML5 GUI. Running on any standards-compliant web browser, it allows opening of any number of windows in any size. The DVMon also facilitates opening multiple viewing panels within each window, and eases zooming in or out on any chart axis.
DVMon DVB-T/T2 provides full I/Q constellation display and modulation distortion measurements, including signal carrier level, SNR, and MER. The graphical display of RF spectrum and constellation quickly highlights modulation impairments and other issues.
Further, the embedded transport stream is extracted for full QoS/QoE analysis and monitoring.
DVMon DVB-S2X provides in-depth technical analysis and supports both real time as well as historical log measurements – ideal for satellite operators, teleports, content playout centres and DTH operators.
DVMon 10G provides a 10 Gigabit interface option, fitted with a standard SFP+ modulator connector, and can connect to single or multimode fiber. Supporting both direct IP monitoring and IGMP, the DVMon 10G enables analysis of key QoS and QoE parameters.
DVMon ATSC was launched at NAB 2019. With this model, RF measurements can be continuously logged for later inspection or trend analysis. From there, the demodulated transport stream is extracted from the RF signal, where full MPEG-TS monitoring and analysis is possible, including in-depth analysis of complex PSIP.
ECP – Electronic Couch Potato
The ECP is designed to monitor and test video quality of experience. This affordable, compact, palm-sized monitoring probe monitors true customer viewing experience by providing measurements from the end users’ point of view, after the STB. Scanning through available channels or navigating through interactive content menus via an external IR blaster, the ECP provides a single dashboard highlighting service quality across all channels.
It features a modern open architecture API, making it easy to integrate measurements and alarms into any third party system. This flexibility means that the ECP is not only an indispensable tool for monitoring broadcast content, it is an important tool in automating testing in R&D and system QA applications. It epitomizes the ideal solution to measure the end-to-end process in a television delivery chain.

Torque Visor
Visor provides central visibility and remote monitoring of multiple probes, plus easy access to a comprehensive log of system events. Operators can retrieve detailed analysis directly on the respective probe, and spot fault trends across services or several geographic regions.
Torque DPI – Digital Program Insertion Auditor
The DPI Auditor supports the ANSI/SCTE 35 2001 standard that defines a fully digital mechanism to control remote splicing equipment via cueing messages embedded in the transport stream. The core of the standard is centered on an SIT (Splice Information Table) which can contain a schedule message or an insert message.
